Flexible Private Speech Therapy & Communication Coaching for Autism, Brain Injury, and Social Anxiety
Break Free from the Box:
A New Model of Support for Communication
If you or your loved one is facing communication challenges, whether that’s related to autism, traumatic brain injury (TBI), gender expression, social anxiety, or absolutely anything in between, you deserve something more flexible than a diagnostic code.
Yes, I said it! You deserve support that adapts to your life, in real time, and without hoops.
That’s where I come in.
My name is Meghan Gallardo, and I’ve been a licensed speech-language pathologist (SLP) for nearly 20 years and I offer communication coaching in Appleton and virtually across all of Wisconsin (and soon beyond!). I’ve worked in hospitals, schools, private clinics, homes, and community spaces, but nothing has felt quite as impactful as what I now offer: private communication coaching.
This isn't traditional speech therapy. And it’s not a replacement for it either. It’s something beyond, and it might be exactly what you're looking for.
So What Is Communication Coaching?
Communication coaching is a collaborative, relationship-based model of support that allows us to focus on your goals in a holistic, real-world context. No diagnosis required. No insurance paperwork. No scripted exercises.
Just human-to-human work rooted in my background of clinical skill, empathy, and deep intuition.
It’s ideal for people who:
Don’t qualify for speech therapy services but still need support
Have completed therapy but want continued guidance
Want someone in their corner for big conversations or life transitions
Value a flexible, responsive, neurodiversity-affirming approach
Coaching can focus on:
Adult speech needs, like public speaking or social communication
Autism and neurodivergent communication support
Gender-affirming voice coaching and puberphonia, supporting voice use beyond just pitch change.
Family-centered coaching around AAC use (augmentative and alternative communication)
Support for nonverbal loved ones, including home strategies, device guidance, and caregiver communication strategies
Social anxiety and emotional-regulation-based communication blocks
Traumatic brain injury and rebuilding functional connections in the real world beyond aphasia and memory-work
Isn’t This Just Speech Therapy Without the Paperwork?
Let me be clear: this is not a substitute for medical speech therapy, and I still offer traditional therapy where it’s needed.
The coaching model is something entirely different; it's not regulated by insurance, so it's not bound to rigid treatment plans, timelines, or narrowly defined goals. This allows me to support you in creative, intuitive ways that standard therapy often doesn’t allow.
But coaching is also deeply informed by my clinical training. You still get all the experience of a seasoned speech-language pathologist, just delivered in a different container in a way that best works for you.
The Benefits of Private Pay and Virtual Support
Because I work outside the insurance model, we can:
Start quickly, no referral or evaluation delays
Work virtually across all of Wisconsin (inquire if beyond!) or in person near Appleton
Pivot goals and strategies based on what matters to you, not what a system dictates
Collaborate with family members, caregivers, or educators as needed, as an additional support
Include follow-up coaching between sessions (email support, quick check-ins, voice notes, etc.)
This is high-touch, whole-life communication support, designed to meet you exactly where you are.
My Promise to You
Whether you're a parent navigating AAC with your nonverbal child, a teen finding your voice, an adult rebuilding after TBI, or someone who simply wants to show up with more confidence, I’m here to help you communicate like yourself.
This is a place where your voice is honored, your experiences are valid, and your growth is supported.
